To service the Oil and Gas industries, a division of FLSmidth Krebs was formed and recently was christened as FLSmidth gMAX Systems. gMAX Systems provides solid/liquid and liquid/liquid hydrocyclones packages for a variety of applications in the upstream oil and gas industries.
FLSmidth Krebs, the world’s leading provider of hydrocyclone separation and severe-duty slurry pumping solutions, joined the FLSmidth group of companies in 2007. Krebs has been serving process industries since 1952 and is recognized around the world for its knowledge and expertise in the use of hydrocyclones for the separation and classification of solids and liquids and liquids from liquids. For over 55 years Krebs has worked with an unrelenting focus on customer satisfaction and technical excellence which has resulted in an exceptional reputation for innovative engineering, quality products and unmatched service.
Originally founded as Krebs Engineers, Krebs took the fledgling concept of the hydrocyclone and turned it into the practical separating device we know today. Early users of the Krebs Cyclone were primarily mineral processing and water desanding fields. In water desanding applications many units are still in operation after more than 35 years in service. Over time, as Krebs found use for the hydrocyclone in other industries such as oil & gas, focused divisions like gMAX Systems have been formed and have helped develop new hydrocyclone designs and materials of construction to meet the oil industries need for hydrocyclones that offer higher capacities, finer separations, higher rejection rates of oil or greater sand recovery, and improved durability.
The most recent development is the line of gMAX® Hydrocyclones, which feature a special inlet geometry and liners designed for higher efficiency, longer wear life and lower maintenance cost. The new involute feed design minimizes turbulence, which reduces inlet wear while the innovative geometry produces finer, sharper separations at higher unit capacities, allowing fewer cyclones to be used for optimal performance.
FLSmidth gMAX Systems main office is located in Houston, Texas with branch offices in Tucson, Arizona, the United Kingdom and the Philippines. Globally, FLSmidth has operations in nearly 100 locations that gMAX Systems utilizes to provide unmatched customer. gMAX Systems has also established an international network of representatives, distributors, and licensees that sell gMAX products around the world.
FLSmidth gMAX Systems began with a simple idea and grew into a worldwide enterprise with experience and resources to serve the needs of a broad cross-section of industries. |
